I purchased this for a friend.
I borrowed it and threw it, and for the actual weight, it seemed to fly light when thrown.
I felt it flew lightly when I threw it.
I was gripping it with 4 fingers, but I could grip it without any discomfort.
I seem to have a weaker grip than other people, but it didn't fall out of my hand.
As others have mentioned, there is a slight brass smell.
But I don't think it is that much of a problem.
At least when it is new.
